We are looking for a Digital Product Designer (Native Apps) to be part of our Nestlé Nespresso Digital and Tech Team.

The Role
We are looking for a Digital Products Designer with a passion for finding solutions that allow customers to intuitively use our digital products. The ideal candidate will be skilled at each stage of the design process.
As a Digital Products Designer at Nespresso HQ, you will be responsible for creating intuitive and visually appealing user experiences that drive engagement and conversion of our mobile and native apps. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, Engineers and other Designers, to deliver high-quality designs that align with our brand and business goals.
By partnering with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, you will turn insights into delightful experiences in a creative environment that requires proven leadership skills and the ability to execute a creative vision.
You will be conceiving and conducting user research, designing the overall functionalities of the company’s digital products, and iterating upon it to ensure a great user experience.
In This Role, You Will:
- Lead User-Centric and Data-Driven Design. Lead the end-to-end digital design processes, integrating user-centric and data-driven principles. Utilize deep insights into user behaviours and preferences to craft innovative, intuitive design solutions.
- Visioning. Utilize your visionary skills to interpret concepts and transform them into detailed and disruptive designs. Push the boundaries of design innovation and bringing visionary concepts to life.
- Lead efforts in crafting a deep understanding of user journeys across various channels.
- Brand Champion. Develop visually captivating designs that embody the essence of luxury while strategically incorporating commercial elements to drive sales growth in more than 40 markets.
- Conduct Comprehensive User Research. Conduct thorough user research to grasp user needs, behaviours, and pain points. Utilize gathered insights to inform design decisions and optimize user experiences.
- Create Effective Design Solutions. Develop wireframes, mock-ups, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that vividly visualize, communicate design concepts and interactions to stakeholders, facilitating clear understanding and alignment. Ensure designs are optimized for usability and engagement.
- Collaborate Across Teams. Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers to define product requirements and ensure design feasibility. Work in tandem with developers to translate design concepts into seamless, pixel-perfect code.
- Enhance Cross-Platform Experience. Craft cohesive, responsive design solutions that seamlessly span web-based and mobile applications, guaranteeing a consistent and user-friendly experience.
- Facilitate Usability Testing. Organize and conduct qualitative user testing sessions to gather valuable feedback and insights. Utilize test data to refine designs and enhance the overall user experience. Employ A/B testing methodologies to evaluate design impact on user journeys, iterating based on data-driven insights.
- Advocate for Design System. Champion our design system, ensuring all design work aligns with and enriches its growth and consistency. Collaborate with peers to refine and expand the design system, making it an invaluable resource for the team.
- Stay Informed and Innovate. Stay abreast of the latest design trends, tools, and technologies. Proactively recommend their integration into our design processes to foster innovation and maintain relevance.
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 5 years of digital product design experience, covering research, wireframing, prototyping, and testing.
- Strong portfolio showcasing digital design expertise, that demonstrate a keen understanding of aesthetics, functionality, and practicality in your designs.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite.
- Expertise in iOS and Android environments
- Familiar with project management and collaboration software platforms, like Jira and Confluence.
- Understanding of user-centered design principles, responsive design, and mobile-first approaches.
- Knowledge of iOS Human Interface Guidelines, Material Designs and accessibility guidelines
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for presenting and discussing design decisions.
- Experience in Agile environments and collaborating with diverse teams.
- Strong grasp of UX and UI design principles.
- Proven ability to problem-solve and make data-driven decisions.
- Dynamic personality with a passion for continuous improvement.
- Skill in collecting and interpreting feedback.
- Ability to understand requirements and design complete user experiences.
- Extensive experience in UX design best practices, testing methodologies, and accessibility.
- Fluency in English (it’s our day-to-day language).
Extra Skills That Set You Apart:
- Familiarity with IOT / Smart Machine applications is advantageous.
- Previous experience in Food & Beverage and Luxury Brand sectors is a plus.
- Knowledge of front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
- Good understanding of mobile and/or native apps coding languages, design patterns and technical implementation aspects are a big plus.

The Hiring Process:

Portfolio Review Your portfolio will be reviewed by the Product Design team to evaluate your skillset.
Initial Screening Relevant candidates will be contacted by our Talent Acquisition Lead, Corbmac, for an initial interview. This interview will cover your key experience, skillset, values, and offer you more insight into the position at Nespresso (1hr).
Hiring Manager Interview Selected candidates will then meet with the hiring manager Henrique to discuss the role and their experience in more detail. This interview is more focused on technical skills (45mins)
Stakeholder Interview Candidates will engage with our Head of Digital Experience, Georgina and Product Design Lead, Adria to assess cultural fit and collaboration.
Feedback After interviews, we provide feedback to all candidates.
Job Offer Successful candidates will receive a formal offer.
