Credit Product Manager (m/f/x/d - Hybrid)
Based in Madrid, you will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with underwriters and operations colleagues globally, extending our Credit & Surety Underwriting Excellence footprint and contributing to impactful international projects.
About the RoleIn this role, you will collaborate with underwriters on complex transactions, ensuring compliance with underwriting standards and enhancing pricing models. You’ll also spearhead strategic infrastructure projects to drive efficiency across underwriting processes. Your work will support a global team, contributing to critical tools and dashboards aimed at streamlining underwriting workflows.Key responsibilities:- Provide expert ad-hoc support to underwriters on complex transactions, particularly in structuring and costing.
- Collaborate with underwriters and actuarial teams to ensure compliance with underwriting standards and enhance pricing models.
- Lead strategic infrastructure projects, including the development of underwriting administration tools, costing tools, and dashboards.
- Work closely with Actuarial Portfolio Management to maintain costing parameters (EAD, LGD, PD) and refine pricing models.
- Address bottlenecks in the underwriting process and contribute to data-driven underwriting decisions.
- Support the development of high-impact visualizations to communicate underwriting insights and trends to senior stakeholders.

CPC is directly attached to the Global Head of Credit & Surety Corporate Solutions. This role will be a critical part of our continued growth, ensuring that we innovate and collaborate effectively across regions and disciplines.
About YouYou are a proactive problem solver with a passion for improving underwriting, supported by driving strategic initiatives. With strong analytical and interpersonal skills, you excel at collaborating with underwriters and actuarial teams to enhance pricing models and underwriting standards. You are independent, accountable, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.Essential Qualifications:- 4+ years of experience in the insurance industry, ideally within credit or surety.
- Good foundational knowledge and understanding of global macroeconomics, financial markets, and credit-related products. Experience in the Trade Finance and Surety sectors is a plus.
- Knowledge of credit risk modelling and underwriting with strong analytical (and numerical) skills and the ability to balance detailed technical work with high-level project management.
- Proven experience in supporting complex transactions and managing cross-functional strategic projects.
- Expertise in using data to drive decisions, translating complex topics into effective visualizations, and deriving actionable recommendations for stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Suite, particularly Office365 and SharePoint.
- Effective communicator with the ability to adapt communication styles for diverse audiences.Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with WalkMe or similar digital adoption tools.
- Knowledge of statistical programming (R, Python) and experience with tool development.
- Knowledge of eLearning tools such as Edcast, Vyond, or Articulate is a plus.
- Solid academic education with a university degree or equivalent. A Master’s in economics or another highly quantitative subject is a plus.
- Progression towards relevant professional financial exams (CFA, etc.) is a plus but not required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English are mandatory.
