The adventure begins right here, with you, at SITA.ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAMAs a C++ Software Developer you will join our global engineering team to help further design, develop and maintain a Common Weather Service that provides real-time data to eWAS Portfolio applications: eWAS Pilot, Mission Watch and Flight Folder.The ideal candidate will work on projects involving data transmission using Kafka and REST APIs.
You will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and optimizing systems that enable robust data exchange and processing.The Engineering & Technology team works closely with the business to develop applications that makes flight briefing and tracking for dispatchers and pilots more efficient and effortless, reducing processing times and information overload, while simplifying inflight data logging and improving situational awareness and safety.WHAT YOU’LL DODesign, develop, and maintain high-performance C++ applications.Implement efficient algorithms and data structures for real-time data processing.Participate in the technical analysis of requirements for designing new application and system features.Actively participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement processes.Develop and validate estimates for technical work that will be undertaken.Create unit tests and document software solutions.QualificationsABOUT YOUR SKILLSBachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field.
Minimum of 3 years software engineering experience.3+ years development experience creating performant, scalable applications (C++17 preferred).Unit testing (GoogleTest framework)Familiarity with multithreading, concurrency, sockets, memory management, exception management.Database: SQL Language / MySQL EngineHands-on experience with RESTful API design and implementation.Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Ability to work in an agile development environment.Experience with cloud services and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools.WHAT WE OFFERWe’re all about diversity.
