You will be responsible for both building strong relationships with leading consulting firms and preparing students to excel in the rigorous case interview process.

We are looking for a person to join a full-time position in Madrid.

Responsibilities:

Your role as Senior Associate Director, Sector Advisor – Consulting, Talent & Careers (Temporary) will involve:

  • Employer Relations & Business Development:
  • Develop and execute a strategic outreach plan to attract top-tier consulting firms to IE University.
  • Leverage alumni networks and faculty expertise to cultivate connections with prestigious consulting firms.
  • Manage and expand a portfolio of employer partners, including conducting regular visits and fostering relationships.
  • Represent IE University nationally and internationally at industry events and conferences (30% travel required).
  • Partner with the marketing team to create compelling communication and marketing plans for recruiting events.
  • Create and implement a framework for designing and monitoring Account Plans in multiple industries.
  • Student Career Preparation:
  • Coordinate consulting-specific training and events (case interview workshops, mock interviews, information sessions) for students interested in consulting careers.
  • Collaborate with student clubs to organize industry treks and networking events with consulting professionals.
  • Hold regular office hours to provide personalized career advice and coaching on case interview skills.
  • Develop and promote career resources and educational events relevant to the consulting sector.
  • Manage and report on employment data and statistics for consulting placements.

Qualifications:

To thrive in this role, you should have:

  • Master's degree. (MBA preferred)
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in the consulting sector, preferably with a top-tier firm.
  • Strong understanding of the consulting industry landscape and recruiting practices.
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience coaching and mentoring students, with a focus on case interview preparation.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to travel regularly and work occasional evenings and weekends.
  • Experience building and managing external business relationships.
  • Global mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse individuals.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in business development or account management within the consulting sector.
  • Deep understanding of case interview methodologies and best practices.
  • Experience working in a Career Services office at a top-ranked university.
  • Proven success record of helping students secure positions at top consulting firms.
  • Expertise in developing and delivering case interview training programs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Additional languages a plus.
