The Manager of Strategic Initiatives will play a critical role in supporting, coordinating and executing strategic initiatives at IE University. Reporting to the Director of Strategy and Development within the Provost’s Office, the successful candidate will oversee project management efforts to ensure the timely and effective delivery of high-priority strategic initiatives.
Key areas of cous may include institutional restructuring, geographic expansion, and development of new academic disciplines. The position requires close collaboration with senior staff and stakeholders to foster alignment with institutional priorities, maintain engagement, and ensure smooth project execution.The Manager will oversee coordination efforts, proactively address challenges, and facilitate effective communication to achieve desired outcomes.
Based in Madrid, this role may involve occasional travel to Segovia and other locations.

We are looking for a person to join a full-time position in Madrid, this role may involve occasional travel to Segovia and other locations.
Responsibilities:
Your role as Junior Fashion Lab Technician will involve:
- Project Management of Strategic Initiatives
- Serve as liaison between schools, operational units, academic departments, and other stakeholders to facilitate collaboration and effective communication.
- Oversee planning, monitor progress, resolve challenges, and ensure the delivery of high-quality outcomes within established timelines and budgets.
- Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Provide regular updates and insights to senior leadership, recommending adjustments as needed to meet objectives.
- Maintain thorough documentation and reporting for all initiatives to support transparency and informed decision-making.
- Process Optimization and Change Management
- Identify opportunities to enhance institutional processes and implement innovative solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Develop and execute strategies to support organizational transitions and the adoption of new practices.
- Engage with diverse stakeholders to build consensus and foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Promote institutional values by driving initiatives that enhance innovation, adaptability, and alignment with long-term strategic objectives.
- Strategic Advisory Support
- Provide expert guidance to senior leadership on institutional reform and organizational development.
- Analyze data and trends to inform decision-making and evaluate the impact of strategic efforts.
- Prepare high-quality reports, presentations, and recommendations to support strategic discussions.
- Collaborate with internal and external experts to benchmark and align reforms with global best practices in higher education.
Qualifications:
To thrive in this role, you should have:
- Advanced degree in education management, business administration, strategy or a related field.
- A minimum of 8 years of professional experience, preferably in the higher education sector, with roles in academic administration, operational services, or similar areas.
- Proven experience in project management, strategic planning, or business development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly desirable.
- Experience with complex organizational restructuring and expansion projects is highly desirable.
- Deep understanding of the higher education sector and its business model.
- Project management skills, including proficiency with tools like MS Project, Asana, or similar.
- A proactive, results-oriented mindset with attention to detail.
